  • Georgia Peace Officer Standards and Training Council (POST) Approval

Minimum Requirements

  • Must be a U.S. Citizen
  • Must be 18 years old to apply
  • Must have a valid Georgia driver's license
  • Must have a High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Cannot have been dishonorably discharged from the military
  • Cannot have a felony conviction
  • Cannot have a misdemeanor conviction involving domestic violence
  • Must not be prohibited by State or Federal law from possessing a firearm
  • Must be able to pass the Georgia P.O.S.T. Physical Agility Test
