Garden City's Police Department serves the community by providing excellent promotion and implementation of citizen-safe environments through police vigilance and citizen interaction, with a devoted emphasis on integrity, fairness and professionalism.

The Garden City Police Department is comprised of three divisions that include: the Administrative Division, which is responsible for all records, training, Municipal Court, and GCIC operations; the Patrol Division, which is responsible for all uniform patrol and traffic operations; and the Criminal Investigations Division, which is responsible for investigating criminal activity, evidence, custody and asset forfeiture.

The department recently completed all requirements for their 2009 re-accreditation by the Commission on Accreditation for Law Enforcement Agencies (CALEA), reaffirming the official endorsement of approval of high standards set by CALEA and only held by select few police department agencies in the state of Georgia.

The GCPD operates 24 hours per day, seven days per week to ensure round-the-clock quality, responsive law enforcement to support our community in any given situation.
