- Georgia Peace Officer Standards and Training Council (POST) Approval
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
- Must be a U.S. Citizen
- Must be 21 years old to apply
- Must have a valid Georgia driver's license
- Must have a High School Diploma or equivalent
- Cannot have been dishonorably discharged from the military
- Cannot have a felony conviction
- Cannot have a misdemeanor conviction involving domestic violence
- Must not be prohibited by State or Federal law from possessing a firearm
- Must be able to pass the Georgia P.O.S.T. Physical Agility Test
